control allows you to set your pool or spa temperature precisely at your preferred setting

Self-diagnostic
Troubleshooting a Raypak gas heater has never been easier. The Raypak Digital has onboard
diagnostic controls that let the user and the service professional know what is going
on with the heater at all times. In the event that you would ever have a problem with the
heater, the digital display will show where the problem is. It's like having a service technician
built into every heater!

Rust-free Waterways
The Raypak Digital with polymer headers is equipped with an integral copper finned-tube heat
exchanger and stainless steel tube sheets. Rust-free performance, especially important
when heating spas and hot tubs, ensures stain-free operation for many years. Even the
smallest details such as the studs and nuts are made out of stainless steel. The payoff? A
heater that will last year after year and can easily be serviced if the need should ever arise.

Stainless Steel Burners
Burner design is a critical component in any gas heater. This is why Raypak developed its
own burner over 50 years ago. The stainless steel burner used in the Raypak Digital is
inherently forgiving and extremely robust. The burner is self-adjusting to compensate for
gas pressure fluctuations, allowing the unit to always burn clean and safely.

The S-1000 gives maximum operating efficiency yet is extremely durable. So durable that it can withstand temperatures from -60F to +360F. Even after more than ten years in Florida, exposed samples are free from surface crazing and show a high retention of original physical properties, unlike the plastics used in many other types of solar collectors. How much will the temperature of your pool increase? 
That depends on the size of your pool, the square footage of your solar collectors, and the amount of sun reaching the collectors (taking into account where they are mounted, the amount of shading, etc.), but you can expect 10 to 15 degrees above ambient air temperature. At the end of the day it is best to throw on your solar blanket to hold the heat in overnight to further increase the effectiveness of your solar pool heating system.

How TITAN Heat Pump Pool Heaters work for swimming pools and spas:

1. During the operation, air is drawn through the heat collector by a fan. The delicate aluminum fins absorb heat from the air and transfers it to the liquid refrigerant passing through the copper coils within the fins.

2. As heat is absorbed, the liquid "boils" becoming gas. This is called "heat of evaporation."

3. The compressor draws in the warm gas and compresses it, elevating its temperature considerably.

4. The hot gas discharges from the compressor to the condenser coil inside the heat exchanger whereby heat is transferred to the pool water. The temperature of the water is increased as the heat in the gas is depleted. The compressor and fan require only a fraction of electricity to operate, compared to the heat energy that is transferred from the air to the water.

5. As the gas cools, it changes to a liquid state and returns to the heat collector to absorb more heat, continuing the heating process.

10 Year Heat Exchanger Warranty
Titan heat pumps are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects in workmanship and material for 1 full year beginning from the date of original purchase. In addition, the compressor is warranted against manufacturing defects for 4 years following the expiration date of the warranty.
